The Quad at Night
Its been a little over 2 weeks since my trip to LA, and I have a lot to talk to you about. I’ll be posting all the Oscar Red Carpet fun later on in the week, but I wanted to share with you all a little gem of a place in Venice Beach, The Kinney!
I most likely found this place on Instagram? Isn’t that where we all get our best recommendations from now a days?
The Kinney is situated on the corner of Washington Ave, near Abbot Kinney Blvd (what I affectionately named “west coast, hipster Brooklyn”) it once was the Marina Del Rey hotel and has recently been renamed and renovated into a beautiful, hip 68 room mid century modern oasis.
Two Queen Room
The Hotel features some mod decor, a funky quad area with pool and lounge space and a restaurant that serves a really great breakfast (the nutella-strawberry croissant was drool worthy)
The hotel is still undergoing some renovation around the parking deck/front entrance area, but what they have done with the place is exceptional. The staff were friendly and fun, and the beds were like sleeping on a cloud.
At a great price point and location, its the perfect spot in Venice Beach.
